KathrynKathryn Christian has been singing and composing music for more than twenty years. Known for her lovely voice and talents as a composer, she has received national attention for her three CD’s of meditational music. Her fourth CD is entitled, “I’m a Michigan Kid” and features music for children and families with themes of nature, the Great Lakes, and relationships between people.

Kathryn studied voice and theology at Oberlin College and then completed her Master’s degree in theology. She is also a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique (Performance School/Seattle, WA), which is utilized to help people use their voice or instrument with fluidity and ease while combating tension, stress, &/or muscular pain.

Her specialty is helping people find their true singing voice. She enjoys singing with children and is employed by the Elk Rapids School District and several local preschools. Her children’s music is interactive, playful, and fun. Kathryn uses original and traditional music to educate and inspire children. She also leads an alternative music group at Grace Episcopal Church in Traverse City.

Kathryn teaches private voice lessons and the children’s music and movement class “Songbirds.”
